Why did you choose Mestro?

Imagine hundreds of Excel files. Imagine too that we manually received annual invoices for energy, water and waste from all our tenants. In modern times, that is an unsustainable solution. That’s why we did a proper market screening a few years ago and went with Mestro. We wanted to have a simple system that should be good for exporting data and be used for reporting, without us paying for a larger real estate system that we had no need of. Since then, both Logicenters and Mestro have grown and it is great to see that as our needs grow, so do Mestro’s functionality and services. 

What has been the biggest gain for you in working with Mestro Portal?

All the time we can save, for sure! Both the actual time itself, and also the time we spent worrying and having to double-check our figures. Because, as a Private Equity company, we report in accordance with GRESB and, historically, it has taken us an extremely long time. With Mestro, this process becomes so much easier because we have all the data in one place. 

I would also then say that it is a communicational gain for us. Together with the team at Mestro, we have set up newsletters that go out to our tenants, with the aim of sharing their energy use and also getting them to lower it. The letter also contains encrypted data from our other tenants, so that, through gamification and stylish graphs, they get a clear benchmark and can compete against each other. In addition, it is an added benefit in itself that we can distribute logins to our tenants, so that they themselves can log into the portal and see their data. For our smaller tenants, this is hugely appreciated, as they can use the portal for their own reporting. 

For me, it has also always been great to work together with Mestro, both in my current role and when I was previously with another of Mestro’s clients. The team is committed to practising an agile way of working, which creates a sense of security in me. They listen to our needs and put them on the agenda. It’s not just words; many of my requests have proven valuable feedback to developers, who in time created new products.
