Why did you choose Mestro?

“We wanted to try monitoring energy in a new way! For several years we have been working strategically to monitor our properties in Sweden and in connection with my new role, with responsibility for the Group, there came an energy monitoring assignment, that would apply to all our markets. We have already had another system in Sweden for some time, but I saw the chance to test it out again when we were going to set it up in Norway. 

We compared several alternatives, but came back to Mestro which I had encountered before. The reason we stuck to you was because Mestro Portal is incredibly good and graphically clear. You get clear reports that are easy to share with the entire organisation. It is easy to consolidate data and also to import and export the data where you want. 

The fact that you have previous experience of delivery in markets outside Sweden was also crucial. This, in combination with the fact that several reference clients mentioned that you work in a very agile way, which I myself can now confirm, settled the matter.”

What has been the biggest gain for you in working with Mestro Portal?

“That we can save time! At the same time as we are also raising awareness of our stock. Mestro allows us to quickly carry out analyses to detect faults in a property at an early stage, such as a water leak, before it becomes too great a problem. In addition, we get an overall picture of our portfolio, which gives us the opportunity to benchmark between properties, and in this way forge “best practices”. 

If you compare Mestro with other systems, it becomes clear that Mestro Portal has a very strong reporting engine. Many systems today are built as more advanced variants of Excel, but Mestro really stands out with its graphical aspect. This is important from several perspectives, both when you share the data with key functions, and also when you share it with those who work out in the field, so that it is easy for them to understand, and it looks smart. If one is to be honest, it is a graphical tool. The numbers already exist, but the portal helps them to become visual in a successful way and guides you to a more mindful use of energy.  

We have made a crucial decision that we should have some kind of energy monitoring tool in all the markets we operate in, in order to be as energy-efficient as possible in our properties. With a housing stock that is amongst the largest in Europe, we are looking at an exciting journey here. And after introducing Mestro to our Norwegian portfolio, there is a great chance that we will implement the tool in other markets.”
